Salton Sea Ride

Heatwave & Temecula Riders Group are riding from Temecula to Ocotillo Wells, Hwy 79, Warner Springs, back to Temecula. Meet up at the Shell (See Location), and say Hi to Jack Spreier who is the Lead for this ride.
This ride will be Weather Permitting, if it is raining the ride will be cancelled. Jack will lead the ride into Hemet, then Hwy 74 Mountain Center through Garner Valley, and on to La Quinta for lunch. (See Below)

There will be a table set-up for 25, I will call Friday 1/29/10 with total count if it needs to be changed or canceled.
Ride will continue to Hwy 86, Coachella to Borrego Salton Seaway (S22), Borrego Springs to Ocotillo Wells for some refreshments. Hwy 79, Warner Springs to end the ride in Temecula.
I estimate about 232 miles. Join us for a full day of Riding and enjoying friends that love "The Ride." Loliner

I don't understand the
I don't understand the description. Is the ride going through Warner Springs and Ocotillo Wells, then back to Temecula Shell- then through Hemet, or is there a second group?. Is Jack then going to leave Temecula Shell, and head for Hemet and up hwy 74?.

Just a note to inform everyone that has signed up on The Salton Sea Ride 1/30/10.
Our Lunch Reservations will be at Casuelas Quinta Restaurant. We have 5 tables of 6 set for us, each table will have 1 check.
There will be a "Captain" for each table that will be responsible to pay the bill with either one credit card, or the correct amount in cash. I have worked it out that each person will have a sub-total plus 18% tip assigned to each seat.
If you have any questions or need assistance Ask Me, we can work it out!

Sorry to be so late replying, but I will probably make this. If it not too late in the day, I may continue on to Calexico to meet a friend and perhaps if is late to find a motel to crash in. If I don't make it back by Monday I either got lucky, or my EX from Mexicali spotted me and had me killed.

Yes, A table Captain! When someone brings up the fact that they have had to pay $40.00 extra because someone did not pay their bill, we can help this along.
I have been on 3 rides with larger groups where there has been an issue with someone not paying their full amount. By the time it is all said and done, no one thinks they didn't pay their bill, and in the end everyone else had to pitch in to make up for the bill before we could leave.
Case in point, the restaurant only wants 1 check per table, so I broke them into 5 tables of 6. The restaurant requires 18% tip automatically put on the check. Each person will have a sub-total of what they owe + tip. The Restaurant wants only one credit card per table, or payment in cash.
The Message Board on Temecula Riders Group has this information, so everyone has been informed. Loliner

Jack great job leading. Lois thanks for all the organization putting this together. Great teamwork. We had a large group, I think 23 bikes in all. Great job keeping everyone together.
And thanks to all that participated. I enjoyed riding with old friends and meeting new people.

As a large group we were all together, great pace! Just to let you know Jack did Recon on Thursday & Friday before the ride up 371 to Mountain Center, and down 74 and back. He made sure our ride was a safe one! Thanks to Tracy Spreier for her Guru Map Quest that helped Riders see the Route & Mileage, also for your gift of great pictures for our albums!
I want to thank all the New & Familiar Faces that attended the ride to make it the great ride that it was! Las Casuelas Quinta's Manager's Roy & Leslie were so accommodating to our group we had a private room, great service & food.
Thanks to the Heatwave Members that were there to assist Jack, Tailrunners, and within the group, Stinger (Mel), MikeMo, Stelis (Great Pictures Steve). There were 23 Riders plus 2. Jenna Who is our Heatwave Mascot came along for the ride. Jenna this is for you, Do you know what a Mascot is?
