Eastlake Bonita Ride, Saturday Feb 13, 2010

I'm planning a ride south to Eastlake/Bonita area, by way of backroads through East San Diego county. Stuff like Rice Canyon, Hwy 76, Mesa Grande, Hwy 79, Lyons Valley, Honey Springs, Otay Lakes.

It's a long ride to the final destination, about four hours I'm estimating. We probably won't arrive for lunch until around 2:00pm, so you might want to eat a little something in the morning. But we'll stop for a break at Santa Ysabel.

I've attached a route map below.

The lunch stop is The Brewhouse at Eastlake. It's a brewpub, but it has a wine list, a full bar, sodas, iced tea, and the usual sort of burgers, salads, pizza, mexican. A little something for everyone. It even has an outdoor patio with firepits so you can light up a stogie. Here's their website: http://www.brewhouseeastlake.com/

We'll just hit the freeway back home, and expect to get back around 5:00pm.

If I can get about five more bikes to RSVP by Wednesday night, I won't crosspost to Meetup, but the ride is still open to anyone.

Sure, why not? If he's pressed for time that day he could always split off or begin the ride down South closer to home.
