I'm thinking about a ride down to San Diego on Sunday for a burger and a beer. I've got 2 places in mind and haven't decided which one yet, one is in Pacific Beach and is called Rocky's the other is down in Little Italy and is called the Water Front, I've never been to either one but heard good reviews. So does this generate any interest with anyone? I haven't planed a route yet but it will cover some back roads and some freeway, after all it is to San Diego.
Taking a ride this Saturday to Ramona Cafe by way of Banner Grade. Then head back to Temecula via Couser Canyon.
If anyone wants to ride along, I'll stage at Shell Station in Temecula, with kickstands up by 10:00am.
Join me for a ride to Pizza Port in Solana Beach this Thursday.
I am not able to ride Thursday, so I am posting a ride for Wednesday. Meet at the Shell Station in Old Town Temecula. I will leave the Shell Station at 10:00a.m. I’m heading to Idyllwild, going through Wine Country – Hemet – to Idyllwild – 371 – Wilson Valley and back to Temecula. We will be stopping for lunch in Idyllwild at the Mexican restaurant. This is a short ride because I need to be back in Temecula by 2:30 to pick-up Jenna.
Anyone up for a ride? Meet at the Shell Station in Old Town 9:30, KSU 10:00. Sorry for the short notice, hope to see you tomorrow. Jack
I'm going to ride down Pine Valley and stop in at Major's Coffee Shop this Saturday for some grub. Then ride over to The Hideout for a little break before heading back to Temecula.
Anyone signed on to the Heatwave website or the Temecula Meetup group is welcome to join in.
I'm just going to take Hwy 79 out to Julian, and then Sunrise Hwy down to Pine Valley. On the way back, I'll come up Hwy 79, and then Engineer's Road, and then Mesa Grande into The Hideout. After a break, I'll take Hwy 76 back into Temecula and get some beer at Barley & Hops.
It looks like the roads are clear and its going to be a beautiful weekend. So lets ride to Big Bear. Meet at the Yellow Basket, in Menifee at 9:30, KSU 10:00am. We'll ride through Hemet, Oak Glen, catch the 38 up to Big Bear. Thinking of eating at the Old Country Inn (specialty german foods, sandwiches, salads and such) or right next door the Sonora Cantina. Then head back down the same way. By the way, Jack's leading ~oh,I hear the sighs of relief ;-). See you there.
Ride to Lake Cuyamaca Restaurant by way of Hwy 79, Banner Grade. Take Engineers rd on the way back.
Staging at Shell Station, temecula, kickstands up by 10:00am.
Privateers Garage in Carlsbad is holding a "Brake Clinic" tonight at 6:00pm. I'm going to head over there. I probably know must of the stuff covered in this clinic, but then I'm usually ready to get out of the house around that time.
Topics will include:
1. How to tell when it is time to change the brake pads
2. What really are the differences between different pads (sintered, not sintered, etc)?
3. What are the benefits of using steel braided brake lines?
4. How to bleed brakes
They have a registration form to sign up, but it appears the form isn't working...
On Sat. 4/17 (this Sat.) Diane and I are taking a ride to the "1st Annual BBQ Showdown" in Wildomar. I'm sure you've seen these on the Food Channel and that's what this is suppose to be if I understand it correctly, and the Food Channel is suppose to be there, and for a small fee you can sample the BBQ. If my computer skills are proficient enough I should have included a website connection,(hope it works)
